lyrics
face the east
wait for the sun
relief from above
five months in the dark
bitter winds bitter words
under cobwebs and dirt
and concrete walls
the cold snakes through our veins
as we sweat out our aggression
it doesn't mean much
precarious above a bridge worn thin by ice
and the promise of sun
doesn't mean much
come and burn me please
bring me to my knees
and the promise of sun
doesn't mean much
we're still raging
precarious above a bridge worn thin by ice
and the promise of sun
doesn't mean much
come and burn me please
beneath the greens of trees
and promises
they don't mean much
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf
Crushing blackened doom from this German band that counterbalances blinding fury with moments of surprising, melancholy melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2023
The eight tracks on the latest from German black metal band pummel and hiss, working occasional atmospheric moments into the din. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 12, 2022
PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
